Should be valid for a minimum of six months with valid UK resident permit.

Status Proof
|
Confirmation of Employment Letter from the applicant's employer. If the applicant is a student then a confirmation of studies is needed from the University or College of their study. This letter should also state the course of study including the start and end dates of the course. If the applicant is an unemployed spouse then the following documents are needed:
- Original and photocopy of Spouse's Passport
- Original and photocopy of Marriage Certificate
- Confirmation of Employment Letter from the spouse's employer

Transportation

Confirm return air ticket or printed confirmed flight itinerary from a Travel Agent or an onward journey ticket to a third country.

Financial Means

Proof of Funds to cover the expenses in Malaysia to be shown either by a Current Account Bank statement or Credit Card. If bank statement is shown then it should be within the last 3 months and with a minimum credit balance of £600. If Credit card is submitted then an original and a photocopy of it is required.

Visa Application Procedure:
|
All applicants should turn up at the consulate between 9am and 12 noon. This is a queuing system and the applicant should wait until their number is called.

Visa Collection Procedure:
|
A successful application will be processed in the same day and their visa will be ready for collection between 3pm - 4.30pm. If the applicant wishes to collect it the next day morning then they inform the duty officer.
