Visa Appointment Procedure:
All first time applicants must book an appointment on the Visa Portal. Click Here to launch the Visa Portal.
After filling in the application form and paying the visa fee online, the applicant is automatically directed to a page where they can book an appointment at the Embassy. Available dates and times are marked green. To book an appointment, please click on the desired day and time in the calendar.
Visa Application Fee:

Visa applicants who wish to apply for a visa at the Embassy in London must lodge and pay for their applications on the Internet before submitting their supporting documents at the Embassy.
Documents Required:
Application Form
Completed and signed application form with 1 recent passport size photo.
Passport
Need to be valid for more than 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa, with 1 blank page to affix the visa sticker. British Residence Permit must also exceed by more than 3 months the validity of the requested visa.
Accommodation
Only if the application is granted (the applicant will be notified by the Embassy), the applicant will be asked to provide proof of booked accommodation for the entire stay. However, the Embassy recommends that the applicant do not pay for any bookings before they know that the visa has been granted.
Transportation
The applicant has to submit a travel plan outlining where they intend to go (which countries, cities, etc), how they intend to travel and where they intend to stay.
Financial Means
Original recent minimum 3 months bank statements, traveller's cheques or credit cards with credit limit statement are to be shown. Cash is not accepted.
Status Proof
Proof of current occupation in the UK. Original letter from the employer. Please make sure that the letter is on headed paper, contains a contact name and number and is duly signed.
If student in the UK: An original letter from the college or university confirming status and attendance.
If self-employed: A letter from the applicant's solicitor, accountant, the Inland Revenue, etc.
Any letter or document must be less than 3 months old. E-mails and scanned documents are not accepted.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance for the whole period of travel with a minimum amount of EUR 30,000 covering any medical, hospitalisation and repatriation costs valid for all member Schengen states.
Letter of Invitation
Required only if the applicant has been invited by a private person or visiting friends and family. Original signed letter of invitation, including evidence of accommodation (less than 3 months old), accompanied by a copy of host's passport and residence permit (if applicable). Self addressed mail
A self-addressed pre-paid special delivery envelope for the return of the passport if the applicant desires it to be sent back by post.
Postal Application:
Only applicants who have had a visa from the Norwegian Embassy in London or the Consulate General in Edinburgh before may either apply in person or send their supporting documents by post (after filling in the application form and paying the visa fee online).
Visa Application Procedure:
Visa applications to the Embassy in London must be lodged and paid for on the Internet using the secure Visa Portal. Click Here to launch the Visa Portal. The applicant then must submit the supporting documents in person at the Embassy at the time of appointment or send the supporting documents to the Embassy (if the applicant previously had a visa from the Embassy in London or Edinburgh).
Visa Collection Procedure:
If the applicant desires the passport to be posted back then a self-addressed Special Delivery envelope needs to be provided during the application submission.
General Visa Information:
The applicant can apply for a visa although they do not know the exact date they intend to travel.
