Visa Appointment Procedure:

If applying through VFS then no appointment is required. If applying at the Embassy then an appointment needs to be booked on 02074703700 between 3 and 4pm. The Application Centre (VFS) will process only 60 applications per day on a first serve basis.

Need to be valid for more than 3 months beyond the validity of the requested visa, with a blank visa page to affix the visa sticker.

Accommodation
|
Confirmed hotel reservation for the entire stay or confirmation of tour. Hotels need to be fully paid for.

Transportation
|
Confirmation of airline, rail or bus ticket. If driving then ferry confirmation, registration document, proof of legal ownership of vehicle and insurance papers are required.
The embassy recommends the applicants not to buy travel tickets until a visa is issued. They only need to see proof of travel reservation.

Financial Means
|
Cash, cheques and credit cards, an employment contract, bank statements, proof of enrolment on the trade register and/or of professional activity.
|
Status Proof
|
Recent, original letter of continued employment from the employer stating the position and income. Recent, original letter of continued employment from the employer stating the position and income. If the applicant self-employed: a letter from their solicitor, accountant or the Chamber of Commerce including income statement; if the applicant is a student then a letter from the school, college/university confirming their status or attendance.

Travel Insurance
|
Minimum of EUR 30,000 medical coverage including comprehensive accident, emergency hospital treatment and repatriation valid for all Schengen countries. Its validity must exceed validity of the visa.

Letter of Invitation
|
Required only if the applicant has been invited by a private person or visiting friends and family. The letter from the inviter should state who they are, whom they are inviting, what the link between them and the visa applicant is, why they are inviting the individual in question, for how long, where the applicant guest will stay (in their home) and so on. The letter must provide the embassy or consulate with full details of the planned visit.

Postal Application:
|
Postal applications are accepted by the VFS only if the applicants reside outside Greater London (Outside M25)

Visa Application Procedure:
|
Applicants should submit their applications between 0830-1100hrs Monday to Friday except on weekends and Embassy declared holidays.
Visa application can be submitted by the applicant or their immediate family member (Father, Mother, Sibling, Spouse/Civil Partner or Child) with an authority letter and proof of relationship.

Visa Collection Procedure:
|
Passports can be collected by bringing the receipt and submission proof with them on the second day after submission anytime between 1300-1400hrs, Monday to Friday except declared holidays.
Passports can be collected by a family member on the applicant's behalf by carrying their Photo Id and an authority letter from the applicant. Passports can also be returned by Special Delivery by paying an extra GBP 7.40 or the applicant can enclose a Special Delivery envelope when sending a postal application.
